A cafe in Australia accepts cryptocurrency payments in hot wallets

On February 8, a cafe in Australia called "Crypto Coffee" accepts hot wallet cryptocurrency payments. Once customers enter the cafe, there is a QR code on the table that links the user to the cryptocurrency platform Swyftx. Users can then download the app and complete registration in about three minutes using an official government-approved ID. Once the registration is successful, the Swyftx platform gives new users a gift of AU$20 worth of Bitcoin. After depositing bitcoin in the customer's wallet, staff will show the customer how to transfer the money to the cafe to pay for the coffee. Crypto Coffee is located in the inner suburbs of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, which locals call Brisbane. Brisbane, with a population of 2.3 million, is not a fintech hub. Additionally, Crypto Coffee is the first coffee shop in Australia to accept cryptocurrency payments.
