Crypto.com CEO Admits Over 400 Client Accounts Hacked, Compensated for Damaged Accounts

Kris Marszalek, CEO of U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, admitted in an interview with Bloomberg Television on January 20 that the trading accounts of more than 400 clients on his exchange were hacked. It said that the exchange was back online "approximately 13-14 hours" after the attack, and that the affected accounts were compensated. Marszalek said the cause of the incident is still under investigation and the findings will be published on the company blog in the next few days.
