Glassnode: Bitcoin Segregated Witness Lagging in Mainstream Platform Adoption

According to the latest report released by Glassnode, after the adoption of Bitcoin Segregated Witness (SegWit) due to problems with some major exchanges, cryptocurrency exchanges including Binance and Gemini have not yet committed to using SegWit addresses to send Bitcoin, especially Binance. According to a Glassnode report, until the end of 2021, Binance’s SegWit adoption rate is only 10%, compared to 100% for Coinbase and FTX. Of the 18 major exchanges surveyed by Glassnode, one-third are true SegWit supporters with over 90% adoption; another third have adoption rates between 50-80%, and another third are Segregated Witness has not been adopted.
