On February 11, Helium Improvement Proposals for Distributed Wireless Networks HIP-45 & 46 were approved, which will improve LoRaWAN implementations on the Helium network. Among them, HIP-45 helps to solve the problem of frequency plan selection in regions where the LoRaWAN specification is not clear. It enables LoRaWAN technical committees to assign or change frequency plans for each region and/or country. And HIP-46 improves the ability of future LoRaWAN roaming partners to use the Helium network for data transmission.
