House Member: House Financial Services Committee Should Create More Crypto-Related Legislation

On Jan. 25, Republican leader Patrick McHenry (R-NC) of the House Financial Services Committee sent a letter to House Financial Services Committee Chair Maxine Waters (D-CA) asking the committee to develop more crypto-related legislation. "We should not leave these important issues to regulators such as the SEC or CFTC or to the judiciary for determination," the letter reads. "The committee should work to properly classify these assets and determine the rules governing their use."
