Intel plans to release a bitcoin mining ASIC chip by the end of February

Chip giant Intel revealed that they will launch an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chip for bitcoin mining at the International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) global forum at the end of February 2022. Intel also said that bitcoin mining work in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. It is reported that GRIID, a listed bitcoin mining company, has signed a bitcoin mining ASIC hardware purchase agreement with Intel. According to Fred Thiel, CEO of Marathon Digital Holdings, at least three U.S. companies are currently designing related ASIC chips, but he did not disclose the specific company names.
