Intel pledges $20 billion to build at least two semiconductor fabs

On January 21, Intel pledged to invest $20 billion to build a large manufacturing base in the Columbus suburb of New Albany, Ohio. Intel will build at least two semiconductor manufacturing plants here, where it will employ at least 3,000 people. Construction of the factories will begin this year and is expected to be operational in 2025.
