Iran is about to pilot a national cryptocurrency

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) plans to launch a national cryptocurrency in a pilot phase in the near future. Mehran Moharamian, CBI's deputy governor for IT affairs, said the bank sees cryptocurrencies as a solution to inconsistencies and decentralized resources, from which many countries have recently started to benefit.
