Metaverse real estate sales expected to hit $1 billion this year

Real estate sales on the Metaverse platform topped $500,000 last year, according to Metaverse analytics firm Metametric Solutions. The company added that real estate sales across the four major Metaverse platforms (Sandbox, Decentraland, Cryptovoxels and Somnium) will reach $501 million by 2021. There are a total of 268,645 plots of various sizes on the four platforms. The analyst firm predicts that Metaverse real estate sales could double this year to nearly $1 billion by 2022. According to a report by Brandessence Market Research, the Metaverse real estate market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 31% from 2022 to 2028.
