Senator Elizabeth Warren is working on a cryptocurrency bill that would give the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) much of the regulatory power in the industry.According to Semafor sources, Warren’s bill is in the early stages of development, but covers a wide range of issues including taxation, regulation, national security and climate.The bill would impose financial reporting and bank capital requirements for cryptocurrencies, sources said.Senator Alex Sarabia’s spokesman said that Warren does believe the SEC should be the primary regulator of the market.
