Sotheby's to auction 104 CryptoPunks worth $20-$30 million

Sotheby's will auction 104 CryptoPunks on February 23. NFTs are valued at $200-30 million. Sotheby's co-head of digital art Michael Bouhanna described the sale as "first-of-its-kind" and "monumental," in part due to its focus on CryptoPunks. Bouhanna said in a statement that the set of CryptoPunks to be auctioned was originally acquired together in a single transaction by anonymous collector “0x650d.” CryptoPunks, released by Studio Larva Labs in 2017, currently have a floor price of $210,374, according to crypto data provider NFT Price Floor. For the auction, Sotheby's will accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as fiat currencies, and all 104 CrypoPunks will be bundled together for a single lot sale.
