The government of Kazakhstan plans to build a nuclear power plant or provide electricity to Bitcoin miners

The government of Kazakhstan is discussing a plan to build a nuclear power plant that can help the country provide electricity for the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining sector over a longer period of time. Although the Minister of Energy did not directly mention BTC and cryptocurrency mining, his colleagues had previously done so to expand power after talking about power outages related to mining. The government believes that this industry is a growth engine, but since the State Grid still relies on coal power plants for 70%, the government recognizes that nuclear power expansion may be the only way out. The Minister of Energy warned that the proposed nuclear power plant "will be able to meet the country's future electricity needs", but it will take up to 10 years to complete the construction.
