Ukrainian regulators begin preparations for MiCA integration for national digital asset market

The first meeting of the Advisory Council on regulation of virtual assets in Ukraine, organized by the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NSCSM), took place on December 1.The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Commission, the Presidential Administration, the NBU and other governmental agencies.Regulators discussed amendments for the Virtual Assets Act, which should bring the Tax Code in line with regulatory rules.In addition, the agencies began consultations with the international consulting firm Ernst & Young and the USAID project to integrate European cryptocurrency market regulations (MiCA).
