Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said the Group of 20 nations are expected to meet next week to address potential risks to global financial stability, including the rise of so-called stablecoins.
He said that he hopes to conduct a more in-depth analysis of the impact of the central bank's digital currency on the international foreign exchange system. Shunichi Suzuki also said that cooperation among the G-20 countries is important. Suzuki said he was unable to attend the meeting due to a conflict with parliament's schedule, so Deputy Minister for International Affairs Masato Kanda would attend in his place.
